This is my cultural festival practise performance. We have to give ourself 1,2 or 3 stars on our self assessment. The questions were did I sing in my best voice, and I gave myself 3 stars because I kept singing for the whole performance. Next question was did I perform strong actions, I gave myself 2 stars because I thought I could do a bit better with my actions. The next question was did I show pride in my performance with my eyes forward and my chin up, I gave myself two stars because sometimes I wasn't looking to the audience. The next question was did I show emotions, I gave myself two stars, I smiled but I didn't do the pukana. On the night I thought I did much better, I would give myself three stars for all.

Flag art

This is one of my flags.
This flag symbolises loving your life and living life to the fullest.
The best part of my design would be the face in the heart. The face represents your life and the heart represents love.
If I had the chance to change my design I would paint eyes instead if big dots.

This is my second flag.
It represents love and peace throughout the world.
I think the best part about my design is the kiwi in the middle.
The kiwi represents New Zealand and the heart represents love.

Inquiry planning day 4

Today for inquiry the amazing room 6 started to plan for their new garden. Firstly there were four sheets of A3 paper, each had titles such as- space, plants, fundraising and garden features. All of room 6 got to choose what group they were going to be in and I didn't know what group to chose. I couldn't decide wether to be in garden features of fundraising, but I heard the fundraising group say most of my ideas so I decided to go in garden features. In my group there was Izzy, Kale, Noah and Tradyn. We were thinking of ornaments and other ideas that could be possible to put in our new garden, after that we went onto the Internet and researched the prices some things will cost. Some of the things that we wanted were very expensive. Some of our other ideas that we might be able to afford were gnomes, wishing wells, stepping stone, bird baths and much much more! We are one step closer to planting our new garden I can't wait!!

Biography

When I was born:
I was born on 11th September 2001. I was born in the Gisborne hospital, Gisborne, New Zealand. I was born in the same day as the twin towers collapsed. When I was born my first family member to hold me as a baby was my aunty, Marion. I was born 13 days early cause I was due on the 24 of September not the 11th.

First day of school:
On the 11th September 2006 I started Mangapapa school. I started in room nine at Mangapapa school. On my first day I came to school with my friend Nerida I also started with three others kids from my kindly garden they were: Oliver, Nathan and Nerida. After a week of school I had many friends such as: Jemma, Gemma, Nerida, Kate and sapphire. In Gisborne I lived across the road from my school so often I used to run across the road and play on the playground with my friends.

Moving!!
On the 12th of August 2012 I moved to Christchurch New Zealand. It took me three days to come down and I arrived on the 16th August 2012. When we arrived at our house my dad left the key in the letterbox so we could go in and unpack.

First day of Burnham School
I started Burnham School on the 23rd of August 2012. My first class was room seven with Whaea Sam. Sadly the Ministry of Education was trying to close our School. But on the 18th of February 2013 the Ministry of  Education decided to keep Burnham School open. The school was so happy that the principal kindly gave the whole school free ice blocks for lunch.
